This Privacy Policy explains what information the game Last Survivors ("the game", "we", "us") collects, why, and what choices you have. By playing the game or creating an account you agree to this policy.

In short: You can play the entire game without an account, and in that case your progress is stored on your own device. An account is optional and is used only to save your progress online and to appear on the leaderboard. The game shows advertisements through Google AdMob to support development; ads may use an advertising identifier and limited device information. Watching rewarded ads is always optional. You can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings. We never sell your account data, such as your username or email.

1. Information we collect

If you play as a guest (no account):

Your game progress (unlocked characters, upgrades, settings, statistics) is stored only on your own device using local storage. It is never sent to us.

If you create an account, we collect and store:

Username — the name you choose.
Password — stored only in a hashed form. We never store or see your password as plain text.
Game save data — your in-game progress, unlocks and settings, so you can continue on another device.

Leaderboard:

When you finish a run while logged in, your username and that run's results (score, survival time, kills, level, chosen map and challenge) are submitted to the public leaderboard so other players can see top scores.

Advertising and basic technical data:

When ads are shown, our advertising partner Google AdMob may collect and process your device's advertising identifier, IP address, general device information (such as device model, operating system and app version) and how you interact with ads. See section 4 for details.
When you open the game we may send basic, non-identifying technical information (app version, platform, browser engine, language and screen size) to our own logging channel to monitor releases and diagnose problems. This does not include your name, account details or any advertising identifier.

2. Information we do NOT collect

No location data, contacts, photos, microphone or camera access.
No precise (GPS) location, real name or phone number.
We do not sell your personal account data, and we do not use your account or save data for advertising or profiling.

3. How we use your information

To create and sign you into your account.
To save your game progress and let you restore it on other devices.
To display the public leaderboard.
To show advertisements that help fund the game's development.
To monitor app releases and fix bugs (basic technical data, as described above).

4. Advertising

The game uses Google AdMob to show advertisements, including optional rewarded ads that you can choose to watch in exchange for in-game bonuses (such as extra gold or continuing a run). Watching ads is always optional — the game is fully playable without watching any ad.

To serve and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect and use:

your device's advertising identifier (e.g. Google Advertising ID),
your IP address and the approximate (non-precise) region derived from it,
device type, operating system and app version,
ad interactions, such as impressions, clicks and completions.

Google may use this information to show personalised or non-personalised ads, to measure ad performance and to prevent fraud and abuse. Google acts as an independent controller of the data it collects through ads. For more detail, see:

Your choices:

On Android, open Settings → Google → Ads to reset your advertising ID or to opt out of ads personalisation.
Where required for younger users, ads are limited to non-personalised ads.

5. Who we share data with

Account and leaderboard data is stored using Supabase, a hosted database provider, acting as our data processor. Supabase stores this data on secure servers on our behalf. See Supabase's privacy policy for details.

Advertising data is processed by Google (AdMob and Google's advertising services) as described in section 4. We do not share your username, email or save data with advertisers.

6. Data retention and deletion

Account and save data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time:

In the game: open Settings → Account → Delete My Account. This permanently removes your account, your cloud save and your leaderboard scores. This cannot be undone.
By email: contact us at the address below and we will delete your account and associated data.

Guest progress lives only on your device — clearing the app's data or uninstalling the game removes it. You can reset or clear your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings.

7. Children

Last Survivors is intended for players aged 13 and older. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We do not knowingly allow personalised ads to be shown to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

Passwords are stored only in hashed form, never as plain text. We take reasonable measures to protect stored data; however, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the game after an update means you accept the revised policy.
